Kidney Stones

Well, I have often remembered the stories of my Dad, Marilee, Aunt Lori and Grandpa Scadlock and their kidney stone attacks. Now, I have one of my own. Yep, lucky me last night about 1am, I started with some brutal pain that taunted me and subsided just long enough for me to think I was going to be okay. Then, it came back with a vengence. By around 4:30 I couldn't take the pain any more and got Steve up. Having no family near by, but knowing that on Monday mornings Kendra is up at 4:30 to begin her Monday morning cleaning, Steve called her to once again come to our rescue. I know she and JD are wondering how they ever became friends with the most unlucky ER bound people in the Great State of California.

Anyway, I puked my guts out in the bushes while we waited for Kendra to get here and then we were off to the ER. On the way I wished that I would pass out or something so I did not have to feel any more pain, but soon after we arrived the pain began to subside. This time in the ER we didn't have to wait for 6 hours, thankfully, and we were in and out in about 2 hours.

They did a urine test and found enough blood in the sample to be pretty certain that it was in fact a kidney stone, but they did an abdominal CT just to be certain. And, yes it was, but by the time I had the scan it had passed to my bladder! I am so grateful that it is over. The bad news is that I have 3 or 4 more waiting in the wings. Hopefully I can get that taken care of before they try to come out!

So, those are the events of our household this fine Monday morning. I have to say Thanks Again to Kendra and JD for coming to the rescue. What would we do without you. I'm sure everytime the phone rings they panic and wonder what we will need next. HaHa. WE LOVE YOU GUYS! Honestly we really didn't go the hospital/Doctor so much until we moved here!

Feliz Nadida

We have had a very busy couple of weeks here in Cali. Things just don't seem to ever slow down. Where should I start.

Tyler the other day while eating a snack reported that his tooth hurt when he would bite. We proceeded to test for a loose tooth and sure enough he has a wiggly front bottom one. I keep telling him to wiggle it and it will come out, but I think he is a little concerned about it hurting. He is keeping way busy at school. They have been practicing songs for the "Holiday" program at school. No, it is not a Christmas program because that could be offensive to some people. Anyway, he has been telling us that he so nervous. This is the kid who loves to give talks in primary and say prayers and loves the primary program. He is nervous to sing some Christmas songs at school for a whole bunch of parents. Who knows what he is thinking. Anyway, yesterday in an attempt to help him out I tried to get him to teach me some of the songs they will perform. He was surprised to find out I knew some of them too. He was very resistant to teach me so I told him that in order to get lunch he would have to sing me one of the songs. He had a fit and didn't think it was funny at all. Brooklynn however thought it was a great idea and proceeded to sing me "Feliz Nadida" It was very cute. She loves to sing.

Brooklynn is busy with pre-school and totally loves it. She is so social and is insisting on friends coming over all the time. She cannot wait for Christmas and is looking forward to go shopping for a gift for her brothers. She has also been inventing funny words. We asked her the other day what the word was and she said "a talking one," then we asked where she learned that word and she replied, "my mouth." She is nutty, It is pretty cute.

Joshua is turning into a monster. Eating is his latest thing and if you have food and won't share he let's you know that is absolutely not gonna fly with him. He is into everything and walking around everything. He thinks he is so clever. His hair is showing signs of curls (I think I may be just wishing for it), but I don't think that I can wait it out and let it grow. We'll see. Steve suggested a mullet. He also, by the end of the day, will have his four front teeth. He has figured out he can bite with them and is always trying to chomp down on something. I'm sure at Christmas Jakey or Emmaus will get bit by him.

Steve and I are keeping super busy. He is trying to finish the year strong. I've hosted my cooking group and I'm in charge of a few combined mutual activities this month. Although hopefully we are cancelling one of them. I finished my Christmas cards and a Christmas project/gift and Got my shopping done, except for Steve. I am also hosting a Heritage Makers party next week. It should be fun!

That should get you up to date. Sorry no pictures.

Car Accidents, Turkey and Rot Gut!

We had a very eventful Thanksgiving week/end. We left for Sarazona (Arizona) on Tuesday, all was going well until we got to Bakersfield. As we were slowing down to take the exit to head to Barstow, we had a hot dog in a white Corvette try to pass us, only he had no where to go because all the lanes were slow and backed up. All I remember is hearing his tires squeal, seeing smoke and then bash - he hit us dead center of our front left tire rim. Amazingly we had no body damage to the car and only have to have the alignment fixed. Our little accident forced us into a 5 hour stop. Steve missed a round of golf the next morning, but all in all we feel blessed it wasn't worse.

We had a great time with my parents, Ryan and his family and Marilee and her family. It was a little crazy at times with all the kids, but lots of fun. On Wednesday afternoon we all went swimming. The kids had so much fun. Josh especially loved the pool and was trying to dunk his face in every second he got. Have I ever mentioned how cute he is? Anyway, thanksgiving day we ate at my Aunt Peri's house. We had 24 people. We ate outside (that was a first for us) on the patio, it was such a beautiful day. The food of course was so yummy!

Marilee's little Logan started throwing up on their trip down to Arizona and proceeded to throw up everyday we were there, but only once a day. We all thought we had been saved from passing around the stomach flu (ROT GUT) until Friday Night. Marilee got it first, then on Saturday morning I got it, then on Saturday night Mom, Tyler, Ben, Annie and Josh got it. Fortunately it was a shortened version and most everyone was feeling better in 12 to 24 hours.

Marilee apologized profusely for bringing the dreaded bug around and even left a "barf" bucket for us for the drive home. Thanks again Mar, I'm just glad we didn't need it in the car.

All in all we had a great weekend. Tyler and Annie had a wonderful time playing together and Brooklynn flitted around being the boss that she is. She and Marin had lots of fun playing with their dolls etc. I sure do love seeing my family. Now if we can just see the rest soon, it would be nice! I miss you Julie!!! Actually I miss you all and I hope that we can see you all again soon!

Oh ya, I didn't take very many pictures, but I will post what I have later!

At Least One Success!

So, for all those of you are wondering if I caught a mouse........ I did, at least one, we will see if there are any more. Last night I was getting ready for bed and I heard "snap." We didn't bother checking the trap until this morning and sure enough, a disgusting, dirty, smelly little mouse. Why are they so vile?

I have to say though, it was nothing compared to what JD and Kendra caught on a sticky trap in their garage yesterday. They have been having some "tracks" in their garage, so after helping me yesterday, JD set up some traps and stuff in his garage. He went out a couple hours later and their was a huge RAT stuck on one of the traps. So, sick! He put on a leather glove grabbed some pliers and pulled the trap out of the corner it was in and he could hear the nasty thing trying to bite the pliers with its big vile teeth. So he the dog and Tyce chopped its head off with a shovel and dumped it.

Marilee, I know you can appreciate that one!

Attack of the Killer Mouse!

Alrighty, so almost a year ago, Steve and I found some "Mouse Tracks" in our pantry. Steve went on the hunt, but as it was late on a Saturday night he could not go buy any traps. The weekend went by with no evidence of a mouse and so on Monday when Steve went up North for work I wasn't thinking much about it. That is until I was walking into the kitchen on Tuesday Night and before I had a chance to flip on the light I saw the little thing scurry from the pantry around the island and under the oven. I, of course, lost my mind (I was pregnant too) and called Steve, he called none other that JD (as in JD and Kendra who always come to our rescue) and he came over and set some traps. About a half hour later I heard some very loud squeaking noises and I knew that little thing had planted itself on a sticky trap. So, I immediately called JD to come and retrieve it. He did and disposed of it. We have had no signs of mice since.

Well, until Saturday. I found some more "mouse tracks" in the pantry. So, when Steve called on his way home from a meeting for church I told him buy some traps. We cleaned out the pantry set up the traps and thought for certain that we would catch it that night. Well, no luck.

This morning I woke up a little late and went into the kitchen to get the kids breakfast. Steve was up way early for a long day of work and of course was gone. I opened the pantry door and guess who scared me to death, that stupid mouse. I scared him too, so he was running as fast as possible for cover. The problem is I didn't see where he went because I hadn't turned on the lights in the kitchen. I'm not sure who I called first, but I couldn't get Steve on the phone and left him a message, then I called JD and Kendra, of course, and then I called my mom so I could be on the phone with someone while I ventured back into the kitchen to get the kids some food so Ty wouldn't be late for school.

So now I am just waiting. Waiting for the sound of a trap snapping or for the mouse to be stuck on a sticky trap. It is torture. I can't go in the kitchen without worrying about whether or not we will cross paths. EEEEWWWWWWWWWWWWW I hate mice!!! Oh well, life goes on!

Blah Blah Blah

Well I haven't posted forever. Nothing to exciting is going on, just the routine stuff. You know school/preschool, taking Josh to Dr. for his ears, starting to worry about Christmas gifts for people, starting to work on some Christmas "Projects" and doing the mom stuff.

Josh has had a few milestones this past week. First, he learned to clap. Very cute of course. And most exciting the first tooth came in. Number two isn't far behing either. I think the top two will move in shortly after that. He also discovered that he can scream. Oh boy, does that drive us all crazy. We have really high ceilings in our house and it echos and is soooo totally loud! He screams when he is tired and hungry and just wants all the attention, which is all the time. So, we are trying to figure out how to make a nine month old understand screaming is not ok! It really isn't an easy task. He already knows how to pull at your heart strings with his most pathetic and sad face when we tell him "No, Screaming."

Oh ya, as for Joshua's ears, they are supposed to be referring us to an Ear Nose Throat guy sometime soon. I am waiting for the call. It looks like tubes are in his very near future! I can't wait, if we can at least deal with that misery, then we can overcome teething no problem, I think.

I'm gonna give a shout out to Julie and all her girls in Arizona and I wish I was there to crash your party! I hope you all have tons of fun!

OOOOOOOOOOOO CANDY!!!!

We went to our Ward party on Friday and had a great time with the kids. Tyler won one of the costume awards for his age group, I think it is because he is just so dang handsome! While Brooklynn clung to my side the whole time Tyler played games and had fun! When it came time for the Trunk-or-treat, I took Ty and Brooks and Joshy headed to the car with Daddy to pass out candy. When we returned to the car, this is what we discovered!!!

Daddy is so rotten!

Trick Or Treat

So, here are the Halloween pics! We had lots of fun. Josh was way cute and the kids had fun with all of the party's and candy! Steve and I dressed up for a party too as you will see. We went all out this year! HaHa! Anyway, enjoy! The last few pictures are with JD and Kendra's kids and some new friends the Turley's!

We had a few dramatic moments from Brooklynn, why wouldn't we. I told her that we had to make her nose black and put whisker's on her face. After much coaxing she finally let me. When I finished I said, "ok, you can look in the mirror." She looked at her adorable self in the mirror, burst into tears and said, "My nose is black!" Well of course it is, what did you expect? So we finally convinced her not to cry and that she was the cutest Minnie ever and she went to wipe away a tear. I said, "Honey don't smear your makeup." She looked up at me and said back, "But a tear is coming out!" I just love her, she is adorable!

A Pumpkin Day!

Today was busy and very fun as both Brooklynn and Ty had field trips to pumpkin patchs. I opted to go with Brooklynn and had the fun of bringing Asay along (kendra if I spelled her name wrong I suck and I'm sorry I can never remember!). The girls had lots of fun and the music in the montage reminded me of how fast all the kids were running around!

Tyler also and fun and picked a great pumpkin all by himself! It was a fun morning for both of them.

My Boys!

So I thought I would post this cute picture of Tyler before he went to school today. He is getting so grown up. Today was hat day, so he wore his T-Ball hat. Yesterday I had my first Parent-Teacher conference. His teacher said he is doing great and we are most proud of him

As for my other boy, now that he is "crawling" he is into everything. Today he found a pen that fell on the floor. I didn't think he could click it open, but I was wrong. So, Josh was attacked by a pen today thanks to his very own self. What a nut! He also figured out how to climb up the one step I have in my house however, he could not figure out how to climb down.

The Crawl

Josh discovered his own version of crawling today. Here is a short clip of it. He was really ticked off because he wanted a bottle. It is really cute because he kind of jumps both knees at the same time.

Memories....

So today as I was filing through my old photo albums, I found a few gems that I felt the need to share. There are many more where these came from, but I could only pick a few. I was saddened to learn that somewhere in the endless abyss of boxes in my garage I cannot find a box with some of my photo albums and year books. I am now on the hunt for it. So without any more ramblings here they are!
So, this one is me and Marilee (incase you didn't know). I believe I went down to visit her at BYU one weekend to take the ACT. Marilee do you have a copy of that picture of us up on your shelf?) You have to love the hair and the bright yellow and red plaid shirt. Julie, remember this one? I think this was a stop in Helena Montana on our way to BYU my sophomore year. In fact, I think this was actually the day before I met Steve. Julie and I were driving in my car and we decided it would be funny to turn our clothes backwards while we were driving.

This is one of my favorites because it perfectly captures TJ as the punk he was before his Mission. Well, I guess he is still a punk, but not in the same way. This is long before he and Julie even met. The girls all loved he and he's Garth Brooks singing self.

And finally, I just love this picture. It is of me and my Granddad! It is one of the only ones I have of me and him. Cute right - and boy was he one handsome Granddad.

A little update!

Things have been busy around our house. Josh is keeping me on my toes. The kid can't crawl yet, but he really doesn't need to because he can roll all over the place and get where he wants to go. He figured out that he can sit up all by himself and because of that has found himself stuck in a few tight spots. For instance, under the table, he really can't sit up under there, but thought it would be a good idea to try, then he couldn't get back down. And then of course our trash hugger.

His ears continue to be a problem. We are on our fifth Antibiotic since August and if he isn't sick of it I am. I think we will head to the ENT (ear nose throat Dr.) soon. He has also been referred to a Gastrointerologist (I think that is right) for his contstant "spitting up" or reflux problem. He went for his 9 month well baby today and is more than caught up on his size. He is now a typical Steve and Heather baby, long and skinny. Although I don't think he would be this skinny if he didn't constantly eject all his food from his tummy.

This is just a cute pic of Brooks at the park with "Adventure Bear." It is the Bear from pre-school and the kids take it and then make a journal entry about.

Finally, here is a dumb pcitre of me and Steve. We went to a corn maze the other night for and Elder's Quorum party. We took the winning prize and got through it in 8 minutes. Posted by Picasa

Sunday Afternoon Fun!

Nothing too exciting has been going on with us this week, just regular stuff. You know take Ty to school, pick him up, take Brooks to school, go to target, run errands - really the usual. Tyler did get his first Homework this week. Brooklynn stayed on her feet for the most part. Joshua is still trying to figure out the crawling thing.

This afternoon, we played a little Sunday afternoon football in the "backedard" as Brookie would say. The kids had lots of fun and were able to burn off some of the pent up energy from being in the house all day. Josh also enjoyed the football game from his exersaucer. The weather is finally perfect, not too hot and not too cold. We'll start getting fog soon, so we have to enjoy it while we can!

I can't forget giving a shout out to JD helping Steve get the nasty Pigeon Nest of the roof, helping clean all the bird doodoo off and spraying out the rain gutters too! You are the best JD and your "high maintanence" friends thank you!

Life Moments

Here are a few pictures from the last few weeks. A few pictures of Nana and the kids. Steve and the kids taking some crazy pictures while mommy is gone. Josh being cute, getting stuck under the furniture, doing stiff as a gun, and drooling. Of course what would a group of pictures be without one of Miss Brooklynn Kay with yet another injury. Yes, last night she wacked her eye lid, right under her eyebrow in the faucet in the tub. Not just on the faucet, but on the round thing that you pull up for the shower. Who knows how, but it was a pretty good gash. It will leave a pretty good scar, but with a little Band-Aid brand glue we put her back together. We'll see how it turns out. Anyway, enjoy the pictures!

PreSchool and other fun things!

Well, my week has been full of fun and so busy, which I guess is my new norm! I had the the joy and priviledge of hosting and teaching Brooklynn's pre-school group at my house this week. We actually were initially going to do the "JOY School" program, but due to some technical difficulty we have now developed our own curriculum.

Since I have never done anything like this before it has been a little crazy, but all of the other women in the group have done it, so they have been a big help. Brooklynn loves it and the other kids are all very well behaved and really cute. Having seven 3 to 4 year olds is a little hectic, but I don't have to teach again for another 6 weeks or something so it is all good!

Brookie's lip is healing well. She seems to be a walking accident. Last night she, daddy and Ty were wrestling and she had another big bonk. Steve was on his hands and knees and Brooks jumped on his back only she went a little too far and started falling off the other side. As she flip off his back, Daddy tried to break the fall, but the end table did it for him. She wacked her back right into the end table and has the biggest welt on her back. She hit right next to her back bone and she hit hard! The poor little thing always seems to have some injury.

And finally, my poor baby. I took him to see the Dr. again, yep again yesterday. He has another ear infection, but only in his right ear and not as bad as before. He prescribed some sort of potent antibiotic and hopefully it will do the trick. He said with the ear infections he has had and how little he is that tubes will probably be the end result, but he wanted to try this antiobiotic first.

That sums up our week. Ty is doing great! He has turned into such a helpful little boy, not that he wasn't before, but he seems to have figured out that whining isn't sooo cool. He is the cutest big brother to Josh and Josh adores him. Everytime he see's Ty he starts to smile and laugh. It is pretty cute.

Joshua is Eight Months Old!

Nana and I took Josh to a little picture place here to get some pictures taken. I missed the six month photo's, but these ones turned out totally cute. I won't get the pictures for a couple of weeks, but they did print me out "proofs" Here are two of the ones we chose. They didn't scan too well, but it at least gives you an idea! He was so cute having them taken and as usual couldn't or wouldn't stop smiling!

"It's A BAD Day!"

Since life with my sweet little Brooklynn Kay is never, ever dull I will update you on her latest mishap! Yesterday afternoon after an argument with Tyler I went in to talk to Brooklynn about her behavior. She was in my bedroom on a time out and when I came in she started backing away from me. I could just see what was going to happen next... as she backed up she tripped over a bag on the floor, turned to her right slightly to catch herself and bashed her face into my cedar chest. I scooped her up and ran her into the kitchen. Told Nana (who fortunately was here, since Steve was not yet back from Hawaii), to put down Joshy and come and help me out. I will admit I was a little freaking out, but I pulled it together and once we got the bleeding under control decided that it needed to be put back together. We know a plastic surgeon here in Fresno and unfortunately he was in surgery, so off we went to an urgent care center trying of course to avoid the nightmare of going to an ER. The boys went over to Kendra and JD's. Kendra and JD are the absolute best and have now come to my rescue about a thousand times - I love you guys! Thank You!

So, we get to the urgent care center, which was empty, get right in and the Doctor won't glue her back together - "We don't treat facial lacerations in children." What? Alrighty then off to the delightful ER at the Children's hospital. I was thinking I would be there for like 3 hours, I was wrong it was more like 5, in fact no it was 5. I won't even start in on my feelings about the children's hospital and the fact that most of the people in there don't have health insurance and treat it like a DR's office and that it makes me mad that I wait so long (last year we waited 4 hours for Brook's head to get glued) I am a good paying customer, but that just doesn't matter!!! So anyway, here is the result......
We are now glued back together. Thank Heavens for DERMABOND, it is the best stuff out there. It was not fun when they flushed out the wound and then we had to pin her down, but we all lived. Before the Dr came in check her out I was snuggling her and she said, "Mom, It's A BAD Day!." I laughed and agreed with her and so did the people next to us in the other bed. She is very swollen and very brushed. Her teeth are ok, but I think the one that she chipped when she was 18 months old got bashed hard enough that it killed the nerve in it! He put 4 or 5 layers of glue on, so it looks pretty nasty. I hope I never have to go to the ER again! Every time we have gone since we have lived here it has taken a minimun of 4 hours. Including when Steve chopped off the end of his thumb last year! Oh the fun, you just have to grin and move on!

She got the inside of her lip too, luckily she didn't bite all the way through! On the inside of her mouth it wasn't bad enough to stitch or anything!

A little Insight!

Alright, here is a little clue as to what Joshua is being for Halloween. We went and picked out some costumes today! Tyler and Brooklynn picked theirs out too and are most excited.

Picking costumes is always sooooo much fun. There were so many adorable baby costumes, but this one was simple and so totally funny I couldn't resist! Posted by Picasa

Thank Heavens for Shots!

According to the Doctor the ears are all better!!! Yippy! I love anitbiotic shots. None of the mess of trying to get them to take nasty medicine and all better in literally one shot. I hope those ears stay nice and clear. I had the happiest baby yesterday and boy oh boy is he ever loud!!!! He rediscoverd his voice in the past few days as well. He is doing the GaGa and DaDa thing as loud as possible! I don't mind at all and I've been laying on the floor with him having some great conversation! Here is my sweety sitting up, he loves to sit, but still thinks it is pretty funny when he falls over.
Here he is trying to roll into the kitchen! He loves to roll over to one of my beautiful fake plants and pull it on himself. This morning I witnessed him on his tummy trying to get a toy just out of reach, he leaned on his side and pushed with his foot to get closer. I am not ready for him to crawl, so at this point he is getting no encouragement from me!
I went in last night and for the first time he was sleeping with his bum in the air. Why is that so cute?
As for the rest of the gang, we are keeping nice and busy. I've been helping out in Ty's class once a week. Brooks is doing her preschool thing. Can I just mention how fantastic it is to just have one child at home 2 times a week. Anyway, NANA is coming tomorrow for a few days of fun! We are most excited to see her.

And the Ear Infection Goes On and On and On.....

Well, my poor cute, adorable, smiley baby still has a double ear infection. He was so happy for a couple of days and then plunged back into the whiney, complaining stuff. For about a week I have tried to convince myself it is just his swollen gums that are the problem, but yesterday I finally took him back to the Dr. I cancelled an appointment last week and now feel kinda bad about it. Anyway, he still has (we are going on 5 weeks now) a double ear infection. The kid is amazing because he continues to smile and be happy through his pain and then just has moments of complaining. So, he got to have a big huge thick shot of antibiotics in the office and we go back on Friday for a check. If necessary he will have shot #2 and then they will send us off to an ENT (Ear Nose Throat) Doctor. We are lucky to have a really nice Children's Hospital near by so I'm sure there is a great ENT as well. Isn't it always something? We'll see what happens I guess.

Brooklynn In Action!

Here she is. She was so good at the party and didn't try to boss everyone around. She just jumped in with all the boys and had some fun. She was watching them kicking this thing and finally had to have a go. I must say she is pretty dang adorable! Posted by Picasa

The BIG Party!

Tyler's Birthday Party was a big success! He had 5 friends come for a PJ and Pizza party. They came ate some pizza, had a few pillow fights, chased each other around the house, screamed and yelled, watched "SharkBoy and LavaGirl," ate cake and ice cream and just had fun! It was a great time and I AM SO GLAD IT IS OVER! I must say I am not the mom who loves to have the birthday parties. They kind of stress me out, but as far as that goes this one was really chill. The best part of the party was after presents. One of his buddies gave him a "Tommy Nitro" karate/kick boxing video and punching bag thing. It was sooo funny. We had the boys line up and take turns. I got some great pictures of it. My favorite picture is actually of Brooks, but it wouldn't let me post it, so I will have to post it later. All in all, the party was a hit.

Bedtime...... Daddy Style!

Last night I went to a scripture class that a wonderful lady in our Stake does every week. I try to go to it as much as I can. She is so amazing and so knowledgeable about the gospel. I left my cute kids in the very capable hands of their Daddy and came home to this......

As you can see Tyler fell asleep on the couch! What a cutie!

Joshy fell asleep snuggling Daddy!

And of course Miss Brookie Kay fell asleep in the chair! Brookie actually does this quite often. This gave me the giggles though and Steve and I had a good laugh over the kids all falling asleep while he was talking to Papa Empey on the phone!

As an added bonus, here are a couple pictures of Joshy. His first spikey hair day, it was for church on Sunday. And then a picture of him sitting all alone. He still isn't very stable with the whole sitting thing, but slowly we are getting there.

My week has been super busy and it will all finish tomorrow with Tyler's Birthday party. It should be fun, I just hope I can hold up. I started getting a cold yesterday and I am feeling pretty yucky today. Oh well, on life goes.

We'll Make it.... I think!

Well, it has been a most interesting week for us here in Fresno! Steve has trekked to Atlanta for work, and then Arizona for a little Guilt Free Golf. I must admit there is a part of me that hopes that he feels just a tinge of guilt for leaving me at home with our 3 beautiful children.

I think we will make it until he gets home. Brooklynn Kay and I have had a couple of run ins. She has become quite bossy and is so stubborn. Today I absolutely lost my cool with her. I had one of those "I'm the worst mother in the world moments." I probably said a few things that were a bit harsh, but we survived. Maybe this time it got through to her - we can always hope. I have been thinking of what Grandma Linda said about her - something to the effect of how Brooklynn can sure have a fit, but that "she has a way of working herself into your heart." I have to totally agree and that is why I didn't leave her in the Target parking lot today.

If there is one thing that Joshua dislikes it is having me go at his hair with the clippers. I had to do a little trim today and boy was he mad at me. For about an hour after he was having clipper flash backs and would start to cry for a minute and then stop and be just fine. He is so cute!

As for Tyler he is being so good. Thank heavens! We bought a 100 piece Spider-Man puzzle today and have had fun putting it together. He is so cute and getting so grown up. He turns 6 next week!

And finally, for all of those Grey's Anatomy lover's out there, I am now officially hooked. Julie has been telling me to go rent the 1st season discs, so I finally did. I love it.

How can I stay mad at her for that long when she really is so adorable right!

Addictions!!!

I have a few addictions, the first is Wheat Thins, I can't stop eating them. The second is taking pictures for no reason, the third is Blogging, and finally I am totally addicted to my baby. I just think he is so cute. Of course my other kids are cute too, but there is just something about a baby. Besides that Julie requested me to blog some more pictures. So, here they are.

This one reminds me of Tyler!

Cleaning Tile

So, normally on Monday's I clean my house, but today was a little off for a number of reasons that I won't go into. Tomorrow I will go crazy and clean everything. What does that have to do with my worst Pet Peeve you ask. Well, in California for some unknown reason (and if we did know it we would all think it was stupid anyway), they think it is practical and stylish to have tile countertops and tile showers. Now, I am totally a fan of the tile shower, unless it is like mine. My tile shower is 4 inch tiles and it is massive. Who seriously just puts 4 inch tiles in a shower it is crazy, with all the grout. I hate cleaning it so much. I go through bleach sticks like crazy because apparently it is also stylish to have white grout. I'm sure a man came up with the whole idea! Cleaning tile sucks! For those of you have had the tile, I know you feel me.

Jolly Jumper, Ear Infections, and more!!!

As usual I have to post some pictures of my adorable baby. He loves to play in the Jolly Jumper and last night I put him in there while I folded some laundry and bathed Brookie! So, he was in there jumping for almost 45 minutes with a grin on his cute face the whole time.
I think his ears are finally feeling better. I took him back to the Dr.'s office on Wednesday for an ear check because he just wasn't back to himself. Of course his ears were not better. I wasn't surprised because the anitbiotic that he was on he hated and if I did get it down him, he would spit it all back up. Needless to say the poor kid had the double ear infection for probably a week or so before it was bad enough for him to complain (he doesn't really complain about anything) and then another week with antibiotics that weren't working and now finally after two days of the latest stuff he is feeling better. Horray! He is rolling everywhere, trying to figure out the whole sitting thing and trying to pull over the fake plants and stuff I have in the house. As you can see from the pictures he is cute. My dad mention the other day that he thought there was a look of Bonka (Grandpa Scadlock) about him. I would have to say I agree.

You gotta love that grin.
The first week of school has gone well for Tyler,he loves it! Brooklynn is another story she is weeping and sad and on edge about everything. I have joined a joy school group (what am I thinking). Brooks will go to Joy School on Tuesdays and Thursday and once every six weeks I am in charge of teaching it at my house. It is with a great group of women in the ward and a few have done it before, so I think it will be great and it will keep miss busy, bosy body doing something.
