Hawaii Part II

Day 3 Started with a convoy to the other side of the Island.  Adam’s cousin lives there and Marilee and Adam had arranged for Logan to be baptized while we were all together.  Although a little rainy, the baptism was perfect and we had a wonderful time together.  Sadly I didn’t get any pictures, but I’m sure Mar will send me some (hint, hint).

After the baptism we headed back to Ko’Olina with the kids (the men went to golf) and were hoping for sunny skies.  Our wish was granted and we spent a great afternoon playing at the beach/pool.  It could not have been a more perfect day!

Thanksgiving Day

What can I say it was perfect!  We spent the morning paddle boarding in the cove by the Disney resort.  Steve and Ty snorkeled, we played and in the end we ate a yummy dinner.  It was one of my favorite days of the week.

Friday was also fantastic.  We started the morning by getting all ready and hiking Diamond Head.  It is quite a hike and while the kids hustled right up the mountain, I had to deal with Mr. 3 year old.  He was in no mood to climb.  Thankfully Steve went up to the top with the kids and then came back to help me with Noah.  We finally made it and the view was incredible.

After a hike and some food, we headed over the Waikiki for some surfing and playing.  Uncle Adam rented a couple of boards and sacrificed the bottom of his feet to help some of the kids try surfing.  Although they didn’t all get a chance to try surfing the ones who did had a great time.  The rest of us tried paddle boarding – much harder in the open water as opposed to the cove.  Noah and Avery had fun running away from the waves and the rest of the kids had a great time playing in them.  Some people who were getting ready to leave gave us their boogie boards, so Josh and Brady gave those a whirl too.  We had a sand castle building contest and I am proud to say that Granddad and I built a fantastic sand castle!  The day was wonderful and dare I say again perfect!

Saturday was our last real day to play.  Everyone was leaving that night except for us and Julie and TJ.  We played by the pool again and then said our goodbyes and took some pictures on the beach.  We left on Sunday afternoon to head home.  It was such a fun vacation.  We are so blessed with an incredible family and spending time with them means the world to us.  It also makes it hard to go home!  Thanks for an incredible week everyone!  When are we doing this again???
