Easter

This year for the first time for Noah we colored Easter Eggs.  He loved it of course, who doesn't!  It was a lot of fun and all the kids enjoyed it. I'm didn't download my other pictures of the kids yet....oops.

No Easter would be complete without some new clothes for Chruch.  He is my crew looking quite smashing!

Of course I have a million more pictures and even some with me, but I haven't downloaded them yet.

Easter was a great day!  We went to church and celebrated the Resurrection of our Savior Jesus Christ. Then we had a wonderful dinner at the dining room table with our cousins!  It is such a blessing to have Jeni and Brian live close to us - even better is that we LOVE hanging out with them!  It will be fun to have Libby and Sean here to in a couple of months!

What we've been up to all winter.....

We have been busy all winter and that is continuing into our spring.  In the interest of just simply trying to catch up on blogging. Here it is in a few pictures!
Let's be honest, this guy is just awesome and although he is spoiled by all of us, he can sure bring a smile to the face!

This beautiful lady was honored at school as one of the monthly Heros.  Every month different kids are given an award for displaying the value for the month - I can't for the life of me remember what Brooklynn displayed but I know it was Honestly or Integrity.  (that's what happens when i don't blog, I forget!)
There was a lot of kisses given to these adorable cheeks, I just can't resist and I have to get them in while I can.
Grandpa drove all the way from Idaho for a visit and as always we loved having him.  He played games, read stories and gave 2 minute loves to all the kids!
 He just was so handsome......
I started trying to check off a few of my things I wanted to get done around the house.  I started with recovering the 30 year old piano bench.  Kari gave me a few pointers and helped me pick fabric by text and then I went to work.  I loved doing it and I LOVED how it turned out!  So much better than the old torn pleather top!
My sweet adorable baby moved into a new room and into a BIG BOY bed.  I didn't want to move him, but he wasn't sleeping as well and was really getting to big for his bed.  The transition was great and he loves sleeping in "Doshua's" room.
During spring break we went to a park for a cookout and campfire. It was great fun and nice to hang out with friends and get to know some people better.
This handsome kid had a great winter playing basketball, now that it has wrapped up he has taken a break and is trying to get in a lot of Golf time!

Overall we have been happy and busy.  Steve and I committed in January to get back onto a good workout schedule, it has been great and I have workout 4 or 5 times a week since then.  I also was busy for a couple of months with Physical Therapy on my knee.  I have had increasing pain while running and I am now to the point where I can't run more than 1 1/2 miles.  Although the PT didn't make my knee all the way better, it is tracking better and it did wonders for toning my legs!  I have committed to be more active and involved with the kids and have also loved my new bike.  I have been on rides with the kids and we even rode to school the other day.

Tater Turns the big 6!

Once again although it has been a few months, I have to get in my birthday post!

Sometimes we call this adorable little man, 'glasses.'  Oh how I love Josh!  He could not be a better kid to have around.  He has the best smile and honestly you can't help but smile when his face lights up.  He has had a big year and starting kindergarten has been wonderful for him.  He is reading like a champ and although he would argue that he doesn't like school he is doing well and I think secretly he loves it!  With him it is one of those things where you can't believe it has been six years since he joined our family, but you can't really remember what is was like before he came along.  He definitely makes our home a happier place and we are lucky and blessed to have him be our boy #2.

Josh is clever and loves to play with his friends.  He also loves playing baseball and gets excited to go to practice and to his games.  His first game was a couple of weeks ago and he was up and dressed and ready to play his 10 o'clock game by 7.

My top 6 reasons that I adore Josh.
1.  His smile melts your heart.  With the glasses and the big grin and the head tilt - it is priceless!
2.  He loves sports and already tries to beat his big brother at everything.  (He is quite the trash talker too)
3.  He makes us laugh and loves (like his dad??) to be the funny guy.
4.  He is ALWAYS and I do mean ALWAYS singing or whistling or humming.  In fact if you have seen the new Muppet Movie, we have dubbed him Walter because he can whistle better than anyone I know!  He always has a song in his head.
5.  He loves his Brothers and Sister.
6.  He is super loving and always has a hug or a back scratch or a smacker for me!

Josh you are the best and we love you!

Brooklynn's Birthday!

Although it has been 3 months, I must back track and talk about my beautiful girls birthday!  I can't believe how grown up she is getting!  We had a wonderful birthday celebration at home with just us.  We did cake and gifts and all that fun stuff.  Then instead of a party I surprised her and took her and her BFF Sydney and my friend and Syd's mom Amy to the American Girl Cafe.  Amy and I kidnapped the girls dolls and then surprised them.  It was so much fun, the brunch food was yummy!  And the girls had a good time shopping in the store after.

I really am blessed to have her as my girl!  She is not only beautiful, but so smart and super funny!  She puts up with more than her share of grief from the boys around here and is such a good sport about it! She is also learning how to dish it out!  She has had a great year so far in school and has been on the JV Jump Rope Team at school, she has spent many hours mastering the skills she needs to be on the Varsity Rockin Ropers team and we found out last week that she made it!  It is a big committment, but she will get to perform at highschools and college basketball games in our area next year!  I am super proud of her and her drive to get it perfect!  Soccer has also been keeping her busy and she just committed to play with a group of girls year round.  I was a little hesitant to committ, but she wanted to keep playing and so we will see how she does refining her soccer skills!  Piano also keeps her busy and she is learning so quickly.

In honor of my little Lady, here are my top 9 reasons Brookie is so special.
1.  She is my only little girl - that is extra special around here
2.  She is the best big sister to Noah and plays endlessly with him and feeds him and gets him snacks and drinks and toys when he asks her.
3.  She is so, so thoughtful and alway writes us notes to tell us she loves us.
4.  She takes care of all of us and often makes Ty a lunch in the morning when he is having a hard time coming out of the sleepy fog!
5.  She is a loyal and super considerate friend.
6.  She asks millions of questions, she always has a question about everything and although at times it makes me a little crazy, I Love how inquisitive she is.
7.  She is always willing to help around the house.
8.  She is smart and LOVES school.  (she may have gotten a little of that from me)
9.  She has the best sense of humor and often surprises us with it.

Brookie I am one lucky Mom to have you!  LOVE YOU!

Officially Lame...

I have fallen off of the Blogging Wagon.  I'm not sure why, but I have not had the motivation to blog anything.  I even missed 2 of my beautiful kids birthdays (that is just terrible).  So, I am back on it.  NO really I am!  More Posts coming soon!
