I CAN CUT HAIR!!!!!

Tyler has started looking like a Cheapet the past week and I really have not wanted to take him to get his hair cut. It costs me $15 and sometimes it is good, sometimes it isn't. So, I figured I have seen enough people cut his hair, why can't I do it just as good. I have to say not bad for the first time cutting hair. He does have that tricky swirly in the back, but I think it looks good. I used the clippers on the sides and scissors on the top. You can all tell me what you think!

The Joshinator

Alright so here are some more pictures of the "Joshinator" Steve will chase Ty and Brooks around the house with Josh and say, "The Joshinator is going to get you." So one night when Steve was tucking Ty into bed he asked, "Dad, are we all "inator's"?" It was pretty cute. Anyway, I thought these pictures were perfectly cute.

Father's Day!

Father's Day fun. Kari and I made these silly shirts for Steve and J. Of course they loved them and wore them all day.

Jakey started sitting while at our house, here is a great photo of him.
Of course below is my most adorable Joshua. He rolled from his back to his tummy yesterday all by himself, but couldn't figure out how to get his arms out from under him. Seriously, the kid is so cute and smiley all the time!
On Monday we got an extra day with Kari and J (their flight was cancelled on Sunday), so we went to the zoo. We took this picture for Steve because he so loves snakes, yeah right, but check out the size of the rattle on this bad boy.
The kids got to feed the giraffe. Those things have the ickiest longest tongues, but they were brave and fed them. It isn't a big zoo here in lovely Fresno, but the kids had a good time!

We spent yesterday at the water park and because I am the coolest mom, I didn't do so great at applying the sunscreen and my poor little monkey's are a little scorched. They had a great time though. Ty has been taking swimming lessons from a lady in our ward who use to teach at "the" swim school here, it is quite amazing how fast he has learned. In only three lessons, he has learned to swim across the pool all alone and breath, if he gets tired he can roll onto his back and float for a rest. He has learned the beginnings of the elementary back stroke, freestyle and the back stroke. He can dive (pretty good) and he is learning how to dive for things on the bottom of the pool. He only had three lessons with her, but he is set for the summer. She donated he 3 lessons for a ward fund raiser and we bought them, I wish I could talk her into giving some to Brooks to, but maybe we will wait until next year.

Goodbye "No Speaka"

Kari and Jason Left today, it is so sad. We have had such a great week with them and are so sad. Next time we see them Jakey will probably be walking. Living so far away is pretty stinky! Here are a few more pics of our week.

What am I thinking to post a picture of me in a swimsuit 5 months after having a baby. Oh well we had to get a picture in of Josh's first trip to the waterpark. Surprise, Suprise he slept the whole time, except for 5 minutes while we took a few photos.
What would a vacation be for Kari and J if they didn't paint or do some sort of project while at our house. So, here is my bedroom before, with that horrible green that has been bothering me more and more lately, and the AFTER with the beautiful brown and the nice NEW bedding. We also painted the green wall in my bathroom to match. If I do say so myself it looks a million times better and it didn't take us too long either. And finally, yesterday we went to Sequoia. It was really fun and pretty unbelievable to see how big those trees are. We took lots of pictures of course and enjoyed some great noise from Jakey in the car. He no likey the car seat, but twizzlers make me very happy. We are so sad to see them go, but it was so fun to play all week.

The "Quedeium"

A few pictures of our adventures so far this week. Of course the first is of my kids with Jakey. He is so cute. I had to throw in this one of Tyler after his preschool program. He was so excited! Joshua and Jakey are best buddies, they are both so cute, and it has been fun to see them together. Jakey started sitting by himself this week and is so wishing to crawl and Josh is Mister chill and content to just lay on the floor and reach for toys. They are so much fun!

Kari cut Brookies hair into a cute A-line Bob. Brookie was so wiggly and I have no idea how Kari got it straight.

Finally we are at the "Quedium" Pictures. That is how Brooks says Aquarium. Jakey's favorite part of the day was the beach. He knocked of in only a couple of minutes once we hit the beach. He was out cold for 2 good hours. It was funny!

And finally our fun day! We had such a blast at the Aquarium the kids. Tyler was a little skeptical at first, but once he saw the Jelly Fish he was hoooked. The best quote from the day was when Tyler was watching the divers feed the sharks, he saw a pretty good sized shark swim past and he said, "Whooo GREAT WHITE." Of course we all had a good giggle, but boy is he a cute kid.

Kari and Jason Are Here

Alrighty, we have been so busy this week and we are having so much fun with Kari and Jason. On Saturday we went for lunch and just played around town. Monday, Steve and and Jason went up to Modesto for Steve's work and Kari and I played here in Fresno. We took the kids to see the movie CARS. It was so cute and the kids loved it. Jakey was mesmorized and such a good boy until the last 20 minutes or so, Joshua slept through the whole thing and the other two of course loved it. On Tuesday Kari and I got crafty and designed some fantastic fathers day gifts for our husbands. (We will post pictures after the presents are opened.) Yesterday we went out to the coast and enjoyed the Monterey Bay Aquarium, Ty and Brooks and Steve had a blast. Steve said he was National Geographic and wouldn't put the video camera down. He was so silly and I'm now going to have to edit the video because we will never watch most of it. Then we drove to 17 mile drive let the kids splash in the water and drove to Pebble Beach because Steve had to check it out. Today we are heading to the water park. It should be a blast! I will post some photos of the adventure when I get a spare minute.

Baby Jake Arrives

Alright, we are most excited today because Baby Jake is getting here! Horray, we have been waiting to meet him for months. I will definitely be posting some pictures of him and Joshua! Kari and Jason will be escorting him to our house which is also awesome. The kids can hardly wait to see Kari and J.
This kid is so cute, I can't wait to see him tonight!

TBall is Over and a few other things.

We are sooo glad to announce that T-Ball is over. Horray! I'm so glad that we aren't just starting the little league thing like Marilee is with her kids. Little League in good ol'Fresno starts nice and early in March. There is a good reason for that and it is so that we don't all melt. It is now in the mid 90's and only getting hotter, so thank Heavens we are done! Tyler had so much fun and even was able to learn a few things about baseball. The picture below is of Tyler and his best buddy Tyce. Ty was so proud of his Trophy, of course when we got home we realized that Empey is a really hard name to spell because it was spelled wrong. So sad, but I'm sure it won't be the last time.

These pictures of my cute Joshua make me giggle. He has been trying to figure out the whole rolling thing and today he mostly figured it out. He still has a hard time moving his arm so that he can roll, but if he is up on his elbows he can get it. He was sooo mad and then once he rolled onto his side and back he acted like nothing was wrong. I can't get enough of this kid, he is so adorable!

Brookie never stops making us laugh. The one picture is what an afternoon of swimming does to the poor girl. I have to say I am glad that the water park opens next week, so maybe I can start having more afternoons with her sleeping. I can always hope I guess. The other picture was an atempt to have her sleep in curlers. She wouldn't go for it unfortunately and after and hour and a half of driving me batty I took them out. She was really cute in them though. Oh well.

We are excited because Aunty Kari, Uncle Jason and baby Jake arrive in only 2 days. We can hardly wait to meet Jake and we haven't seen Kari or Jason since Dave's Wedding in August. Man it sure does stink to live so far away! At least they want to come and visit, not too many people (with the exception of Grandparents and Julie when she lived close) want to come and see us in Fresno. I can't imagine why. Ha Ha, how the heck did I end up in Frestucky. Oh well, the water park opens next week!

Political Craziness

Alright, so I just have to tell you that California's elected representatives are morons! They are trying to pass some bill here that will require that they teach children K-12 about "alternate lifestyles" Meaning of course Homosexual, bisexual, transgender and crap like that. Aparantly it is suppose to help create tolerance. In my view it is just a way to indoctrinate our children to thinking that those lifestyles are normal and ok. My children can't learn about God at school, because it is offensive to some people, but it is okay to teach them this crap. What a joke. I emailed and called the Govenor's office and assembly members to put some pressure on them to veto this stupid bill.

Anyway, I just had to share my views with anyone, if anyone, who reads my blog.

Pictures

I thought I would post a few pictures of my cute kids. They are so funny!

Here is Joshua trying on his new shades for the water park this summer! Alright so I'm a little silly, but the sunshine is so bright I thought he could use them. We'll see if he ends up liking them.

This is my Joshua and his killer smile, we were heading out the door for Ty's T-ball game. He is the cutiest.
Here is Tyler in action at T-ball. He love to play and has so much fun. On this particular day he was the "pitcher"

And finally, THE PRINCESS. In this picture she was cooking with Grandma. She keeps us frustrated, and laughing all at the same time. She is a cutie!
