We had a very eventful Thanksgiving week/end. We left for Sarazona (Arizona) on Tuesday, all was going well until we got to Bakersfield. As we were slowing down to take the exit to head to Barstow, we had a hot dog in a white Corvette try to pass us, only he had no where to go because all the lanes were slow and backed up. All I remember is hearing his tires squeal, seeing smoke and then bash - he hit us dead center of our front left tire rim. Amazingly we had no body damage to the car and only have to have the alignment fixed. Our little accident forced us into a 5 hour stop. Steve missed a round of golf the next morning, but all in all we feel blessed it wasn't worse.
We had a great time with my parents, Ryan and his family and Marilee and her family. It was a little crazy at times with all the kids, but lots of fun. On Wednesday afternoon we all went swimming. The kids had so much fun. Josh especially loved the pool and was trying to dunk his face in every second he got. Have I ever mentioned how cute he is? Anyway, thanksgiving day we ate at my Aunt Peri's house. We had 24 people. We ate outside (that was a first for us) on the patio, it was such a beautiful day. The food of course was so yummy!
Marilee's little Logan started throwing up on their trip down to Arizona and proceeded to throw up everyday we were there, but only once a day. We all thought we had been saved from passing around the stomach flu (ROT GUT) until Friday Night. Marilee got it first, then on Saturday morning I got it, then on Saturday night Mom, Tyler, Ben, Annie and Josh got it. Fortunately it was a shortened version and most everyone was feeling better in 12 to 24 hours.
Marilee apologized profusely for bringing the dreaded bug around and even left a "barf" bucket for us for the drive home. Thanks again Mar, I'm just glad we didn't need it in the car.
All in all we had a great weekend. Tyler and Annie had a wonderful time playing together and Brooklynn flitted around being the boss that she is. She and Marin had lots of fun playing with their dolls etc. I sure do love seeing my family. Now if we can just see the rest soon, it would be nice! I miss you Julie!!! Actually I miss you all and I hope that we can see you all again soon!
Oh ya, I didn't take very many pictures, but I will post what I have later!

At Least One Success!
So, for all those of you are wondering if I caught a mouse........ I did, at least one, we will see if there are any more. Last night I was getting ready for bed and I heard "snap." We didn't bother checking the trap until this morning and sure enough, a disgusting, dirty, smelly little mouse. Why are they so vile?
I have to say though, it was nothing compared to what JD and Kendra caught on a sticky trap in their garage yesterday. They have been having some "tracks" in their garage, so after helping me yesterday, JD set up some traps and stuff in his garage. He went out a couple hours later and their was a huge RAT stuck on one of the traps. So, sick! He put on a leather glove grabbed some pliers and pulled the trap out of the corner it was in and he could hear the nasty thing trying to bite the pliers with its big vile teeth. So he the dog and Tyce chopped its head off with a shovel and dumped it.
Marilee, I know you can appreciate that one!

Attack of the Killer Mouse!
Alrighty, so almost a year ago, Steve and I found some "Mouse Tracks" in our pantry. Steve went on the hunt, but as it was late on a Saturday night he could not go buy any traps. The weekend went by with no evidence of a mouse and so on Monday when Steve went up North for work I wasn't thinking much about it. That is until I was walking into the kitchen on Tuesday Night and before I had a chance to flip on the light I saw the little thing scurry from the pantry around the island and under the oven. I, of course, lost my mind (I was pregnant too) and called Steve, he called none other that JD (as in JD and Kendra who always come to our rescue) and he came over and set some traps. About a half hour later I heard some very loud squeaking noises and I knew that little thing had planted itself on a sticky trap. So, I immediately called JD to come and retrieve it. He did and disposed of it. We have had no signs of mice since.
Well, until Saturday. I found some more "mouse tracks" in the pantry. So, when Steve called on his way home from a meeting for church I told him buy some traps. We cleaned out the pantry set up the traps and thought for certain that we would catch it that night. Well, no luck.
This morning I woke up a little late and went into the kitchen to get the kids breakfast. Steve was up way early for a long day of work and of course was gone. I opened the pantry door and guess who scared me to death, that stupid mouse. I scared him too, so he was running as fast as possible for cover. The problem is I didn't see where he went because I hadn't turned on the lights in the kitchen. I'm not sure who I called first, but I couldn't get Steve on the phone and left him a message, then I called JD and Kendra, of course, and then I called my mom so I could be on the phone with someone while I ventured back into the kitchen to get the kids some food so Ty wouldn't be late for school.
So now I am just waiting. Waiting for the sound of a trap snapping or for the mouse to be stuck on a sticky trap. It is torture. I can't go in the kitchen without worrying about whether or not we will cross paths. EEEEWWWWWWWWWWWWW I hate mice!!! Oh well, life goes on!

Blah Blah Blah
Well I haven't posted forever. Nothing to exciting is going on, just the routine stuff. You know school/preschool, taking Josh to Dr. for his ears, starting to worry about Christmas gifts for people, starting to work on some Christmas "Projects" and doing the mom stuff.
Josh has had a few milestones this past week. First, he learned to clap. Very cute of course. And most exciting the first tooth came in. Number two isn't far behing either. I think the top two will move in shortly after that. He also discovered that he can scream. Oh boy, does that drive us all crazy. We have really high ceilings in our house and it echos and is soooo totally loud! He screams when he is tired and hungry and just wants all the attention, which is all the time. So, we are trying to figure out how to make a nine month old understand screaming is not ok! It really isn't an easy task. He already knows how to pull at your heart strings with his most pathetic and sad face when we tell him "No, Screaming."
Oh ya, as for Joshua's ears, they are supposed to be referring us to an Ear Nose Throat guy sometime soon. I am waiting for the call. It looks like tubes are in his very near future! I can't wait, if we can at least deal with that misery, then we can overcome teething no problem, I think.
I'm gonna give a shout out to Julie and all her girls in Arizona and I wish I was there to crash your party! I hope you all have tons of fun!

OOOOOOOOOOOO CANDY!!!!
We went to our Ward party on Friday and had a great time with the kids. Tyler won one of the costume awards for his age group, I think it is because he is just so dang handsome! While Brooklynn clung to my side the whole time Tyler played games and had fun! When it came time for the Trunk-or-treat, I took Ty and Brooks and Joshy headed to the car with Daddy to pass out candy. When we returned to the car, this is what we discovered!!!
Daddy is so rotten!
Trick Or Treat
So, here are the Halloween pics! We had lots of fun. Josh was way cute and the kids had fun with all of the party's and candy! Steve and I dressed up for a party too as you will see. We went all out this year! HaHa! Anyway, enjoy! The last few pictures are with JD and Kendra's kids and some new friends the Turley's!
We had a few dramatic moments from Brooklynn, why wouldn't we. I told her that we had to make her nose black and put whisker's on her face. After much coaxing she finally let me. When I finished I said, "ok, you can look in the mirror." She looked at her adorable self in the mirror, burst into tears and said, "My nose is black!" Well of course it is, what did you expect? So we finally convinced her not to cry and that she was the cutest Minnie ever and she went to wipe away a tear. I said, "Honey don't smear your makeup." She looked up at me and said back, "But a tear is coming out!" I just love her, she is adorable!
